Objective
To prepare meals for children in a child care setting in accordance to the centre’s menu.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Organize orders for food buying for upcoming delivery cycle as per menus
- Maintain kitchen supplies and equipment
- Prepare meals as per center menu and requirements (including dietary restrictions and allergies)
- Washing all dishes and sanitizing
- Following Toronto Public Health food safety requirements and ensuring a clean and safe environment
- Caring and friendly towards staff, children and parents
Qualifications
- Food Handling Certificate
- CPR/First Aid Certificate
- Up to date immunizations
- Strong time management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Vulnerable Sector Screening – Clear Criminal Reference Check
